Patricia Bennett's work is realism in oils, which are hand-ground in the ancient techniques.
Patricia Bennett works out of her studio in Baltimore, Maryland. After receiving a B.A. in
physics from Reed College, Bennett attended the Art Institute of Chicago for a year.
Then she studied at the Baltimore-based Schuler School of Fine Arts, a four year
full-time atelier program. Three of those years, she also took classes from Matt Zoll. Her studies included figurative sculpture,
cast drawing, watercolor, portrait painting, as well as still life.
Bennett has shown work at Maryland Hall, the University of Baltimore Law School
Gallery, Orchard Gallery, the School 33 Art Center, and the Schuler Gallery, among
other places.
Awards and recognition include: 2007 and 2005 Finalist in Artist Magazine, Still
life, national contest; juried Resident Artist at the School 33 Art Center, and scholarship post-graduate year at the Schuler School of Fine Arts.
